Monica Logani, CFA
PARTNER
Monica co-founded Muse because she saw an opportunity to help business owners understand the numbers driving their business and efficiently utilize their resources to enhance shareholder value. Leveraging her extensive experience in business and financing strategy and execution, she helps owners deploy financial data more strategically in the development and growth of their companies. She believes this will have a positive impact on decision making, valuation and capital raising ability.
Monica started her career as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley where she worked in corporate finance and capital markets. After business school she transitioned to a career in equity research at Lehman Brothers where she was the lead analyst on a number of Internet IPOs. Later she was the Head of Research at the Ayllu Initiative, a non-profit helping social enterprises scale. Currently Monica has an advisory role at a number of growth companies, is an angel investor, a mentor at the Female Founders Alliance and a speaker at the Women’s Entrepreneur Boot camp and Women’s Business Development Council.
Janet DeFrino
PARTNER
Janet believes that establishing financial discipline at any point in a company’s life cycle will enhance cash flow and company value. She combines her experience as an equity analyst, investor, entrepreneur and mentor to offer a unique perspective to the companies she advises.
Janet started her career as an equity research analyst at Morgan Stanley and after nearly ten years transitioned to an investing role for a Bass family office. In 2012, Janet co-founded Eachwin Capital where she was responsible for the firm’s consumer investments. She is currently a Venture Partner with 1843 Capital, a venture capital firm investing in technology companies with diverse teams and a member of Golden Seeds, an angel investing group which invests in female leadership. Janet serves on the Board of Directors of Shindigz.com and the CT Women’s Business Development Council and is an advisor to several growth companies.
